Exodus 20 verse 8 & 9
REFORMED
From its very inception in 1928 and then later in 1977, St Paul’s has been dedicated to upholding of what is generally termed The Reformed Faith, sometimes called Calvinism.
These terms define the doctrinal position held by St Paul’s, in that it holds dear and defends what are otherwise known as the doctrines of Sovereign Grace - doctrines
that were re-established in the Christian Church at the time of the 16th century Reformation.
EVANGELICAL
This defines the Church’s position in that not only is it evangelical in doctrine but also evangelical in practice, in that it seeks, within the guidelines of Scripture, to take to the public the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Seeking to bring men and women to Him, seeking by God’s grace and mercy to bring them from the darkness of sin and false religion to the Truth as it is in the gospel.
PROTESTANT
This follows from the previous definitions, in that the Word itself means to bear testimony or witness, within the context, to Jesus Christ.
This therefore by definition means that all things failing to conform, or that are clearly contrary to the teaching and practise of Christ and His Word - The Holy Bible, are not embraced by the fellowship.
The Bible translation we use is the
King James Version
(KJV)

| "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success." |
